Dear  AP and On Level History Teachers

These tours are offered on a yearly bases to our AP and on level students at Centennial High School in Roswell, GA and we would like to invite you and your students to join us.  We’ve made arrangements with EF Education to combine various schools throughout Metro Atlanta on these tours.  By doing this we hope to have enough world history students and teachers to have a private bus.  This will allow us to focus our travels on enriching and extending the work we do in our classrooms.  If you are interested in collaborating with us on a tour please let us know.  For every 6 paying participants you bring, you will earn one chaperone who will travel at no charge.  If you do not feel like you can get 6 paying participants, but can get 1-5 then your students will be combined with students from other schools and will still be able to go on the trip.   Depending on enrollment numbers, you may still be eligible to travel as a chaperone.  In the event that you are unable to travel with your students, we will arrange to meet with their parents, help families with trip preparations, and act as their chaperone while traveling.  We are also happy to help during the recruiting process by attending a parent meeting at your school.

These trips are being independently organized by Chad Hoge and Gary Ruther utilizing EF Tours and are not associated with Fulton County Schools in any way.   By doing this, we have the flexibility to include students from a variety of school, thereby making a trip like this accessible to more students.

The trip is open to former, current or future AP and on level world history students.   All students must have a perfect discipline record at their home school to participate.  This is defined as: no in-school or out of school suspensions for any reason, consistent punctual attendance to school and classes (excused absences are ok).  This definition can be expanded at anytime to include other behaviors that the group leaders deem disruptive to the safety and/or quality of the trip.  Students traveling without their teachers must submit a written recommendation from two of their current teachers.
